The Royal Palace of Caserta and its gardens, also famous as ‘The Versailles of Italy’ are treasures of amazing splendor, just outside the city of Naples. Once a private home of the Bourbon Kings, the Palace is a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997 and was planned by the architect Luigi Vanvitelli.
